Penn's Journey to the Big Island
“I often get asked how I ended up on the Big Island? Simply put, the signs were there. After 29-years of enduring the cold weather for nearly eight months of the year, the call to Hawaii grew strong. The time had come, and in my mind, the notion of moving to Kona was “now, or never.”
Within six weeks, Penn listed and sold his townhouse, made an offer to buy a Big Island homeand closed on it, packed a 20-ft container with his household belongings, coordinated travel & quarantine requirements for two dogs, drove to Los Angeles with the dogs, shipped his car from Long Beach, scrambled through post 9-11 airport security – ultimately landing in Kona on Oct. 28, 2001.
It has been said that Realtors are a mirror of their clients and this agent-client synergy is an important ingredient for a smooth and successful real estate experience. An introductory meeting is a great place to start – and a chance for everyone to ask questions, get acquainted, and begin defining objectives & goals to move forward with.
If you are thinking of buying or selling real estate in West Hawaii, I look forward to an opportunity to help make it happen.

Firsthand Real Estate Knowledge
In 2004, Penn found the ultimate piece of Kona paradise, and along with his family, built their home from the ground up. From a young age, Penn has always enjoyed carpentry, design, and landscaping – and even helped build a couple of houses while in college.
Building our Kona home was a life-changing experience. It wasn’t easy, and there were a lot of highs and lows along the way. But in the end, we got it done and had turned our dreams into reality. Now, being able to share this experience and knowledge in helping others find their own dream home is incredibly gratifying for me. Truly, the icing on the cake!
